Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

good morning all... Im a complete Newby to the running of simulations.... I installed Cygwin, Visual C++ and Geant4 toolkit as per the SLAC tutorial and all looked to be working (for about 10 minutes) I was throwing commands at it and trying to run the novice examples to get a feel for it and I think I may have broken it. When I open cygwin I am now presented with the message
"setting environment for using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 x86 tools. Your group is currently "mkpasswd". This indicates that the /ect/passwd (and possibly /ect/group) files should be rebuilt. See the man pages for mkpasswd and mkgroup then, for example, run mkpasswd -l [-d] > //ect/passwd mkgroup -l [-d] > /ect/group Note that the -d switch is necessary for domain users."
does anybody know what I have done and more importantly how I can fix it ?
