I am encountering the following error message when trying to compile a Geant4 simulation containing ROOT using Cygwin. When I issue the make comand i get the following error message:
... ... ... Compiling Analysis.cc ... Analysis.cc src/Analysis.cc(41) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'TROOT.h': No such file or directory make: *** [/cygdrive/c/geant4/g4apps/tmp/WIN32-VC/85GammaNozzleTrackSimplev1/Analysis.o] Error 2
Analysis.cc contains line the #include TROOT.h. THis same simulation comiles and runs fine on our Linux system.
The specifics of my install are as follows:
Cygwin 1.5.25 - cygwin is using compiler from Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition
I think this may be a problem wih the enviroment variables, but I cannot confirm this. Changing the format of the enviroment variable definitions from ROOTSYS=c:/root to ROOTSYS=cygdrive/c/root allowed the compiler to find the several other root files, but now I get the error for TRROT.h.
any ideas anyone?? (besides buying a mac)
cheers, Jerimy Polf
