First fix (changing CXXFLAGS) works in my case only for the compilation of static (.a) libraries. I recommend the second fix (OGLLIBS redefinition). With this fix geant(4.9.1) compiles fine on my old G4 (2x1GHz) as well as on my new (Intel) MBP (2x2.33GHz). I tested successfully ~5 examples, all worked out of the box. "underground_physics" in advanced examples however shows a linking error (was working under 10.4).
