Thanks for your help! I think I know what is wrong now. May I ask an follow-up question?
My sensitive detector is actually a phototube which is supposed to be contained by
some oil. How can I avoid the overlapping volume problem? I declared the PMT volume
as the daughter volume of the oil volume. Would that be a problem? If so, how should I
contain the PMT vlume inside the oil volume?

I really appreciate your help!
