If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

in my geometry (based roughly in N03), I would like to know if it is possible to obtain the name of the mother volume. From examples:
G4TouchableHandle touch1 = point1->GetTouchableHandle(); G4VPhysicalVolume* volume = touch1->GetVolume(); G4String name = volume->GetName(); G4int copyNumber = touch1->GetCopyNumber();
So, I go a little far, it is possible:
G4VPhysicalVolume* mother = touch1->GetVolume(1);
and I tried the next, similar as before, but doesn't work
---> G4String nameMom = mother->GetName();
Is there any way to get the name?
Anyhow excuse me if it is more a matter of C++ programming than Geant4... I"m not pretty sure about the inheritance of the methods in this case, but I thought it was possible.
