Hi,

 For the first question, the step is always limited by geometry boundary.
It means PostStep should be on the "GeomBoundary" if the track goes on the interface of different
geometry. Therefore, the deposited energy only belongs to one geometry and not shared by
two geometry. This is basic criteria.
  If you are using ROGeometry or RegularNavigation, then you have to care about it by yourself.

  For the second question, I recommend to post it to physics related category.
