Hi all

I am trying to emulate a detector array made out of small square bits of sensitive detectors. to get the right resolution I need a couple of thousand of those little square detectors to sit in an array...

making a loop to situate them is a piece of cake the thing is - do I have to construct a separate Sensitive Detector for each or can I just instantiate one sensitive detector, attach it to a logical volume and then instantiate physical volumes as I like?

and if so will the hit data take into account the copy number of said physical volume?

thanks a bunch.

oh another thing - can a physical volume get a number that is a vector? (like [i,j]) to return a position of a hit?
