I am using geant4 version 4.9.1.p03. I am impinging 14 MeV neutrons on a 16O target. I am looking at the (n,alpha) reaction more specifically. It is quite amazing to see that the 13C energy as well as the alpha energy are always the same,
that is namelly 2.769 MeV and 8.982 MeV respectively. Moreover, the sum of the lab angles of the ejectiles is always 180 deg. It seems that the kinematics is resolved in the center of mass.
But if i know look at the reaction (n,a) on 28Si, energies of ejectiles change
according to the angle and their sum is no more equal to 180 deg as expected.
I don t understand this point at all and need some help.
