Question How to get invisible energy in calorimeter?

Forum: Hadronic Processes
Date: 06 Feb, 2009
From: Angela Lucaci-Timoce <Angela Lucaci-Timoce>

Hello all, I've been using a primary scorer to get the total energy deposited in a calorimeter by hadronic showers.

I wonder if there is a way to also get the so-called invisible energy, that does not contribute at all to the signal, i.e. lost in nuclear excitation etc.

Also, is there a direct way to get the escaped energy (due to neutrinos living the detector)?

Thank you for any hint, Angela
