Question Low Energye Neutron Generator

Forum: Hadronic Processes
Date: 10 Oct, 2008
From: Vitaliy Ziskin <Vitaliy Ziskin>

I'm trying to simulate d-Li, d-Be, d-B, d-C, etc. neutron source. The deuteron beam energy is about 1 to 5 MeV, low energy by Geant standards. I see some neutrons being created at around 10 MeV (though very few) and I see nothing at lower energies. Is there some cut energy cut off that I don't know about? I'm basically using Hadr01 example. I have tried QGSP and basically all other models.

I'm also interested to know if anyone is trying a similar application and succeeding or at least know the way forward. Please help.

    Regards, Vitaliy
