Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you create G4Materal object not from G4Isotope, then Geant4 hadronic processes will use natural abundance isotopes for each element. In this case, you will get recoiled deuteron even from elastic reaction.
Other issues, If the proper data for an isotope is not available in G4NDL, then NeutronHP will compensate from nearing A and Z data. The messages you got show the compensation is carried out for the isotope. If you want not having this compensation, then you can use “G4NEUTRONHP_SKIP_MISSING_ISOTOPES” flag. , the cross section of the isotopes set to 0 under this flag.
And, for the inelastic reaction of H, I will implement more sophisticated treatment.
