Question NeutronHP oddity

Forum: Hadronic Processes

From: Ward Andrew Wurtz <waw113@mail_dot_usask_dot_ca>

Hi All,

I'm using geant4-09-00-patch-01 and noticed this oddity when using the
LHEP_PRECO_HP physics list.

When I start Geant4 I find the following line when it loads the
Neutron HP stuff for Hydrogen:

NeutronHP: /Inelastic file for Z = 1, A = 1 is not found and NeutronHP will
use /home/ward/geant4/data/G4NDL3.11/Inelastic//CrossSection/1_2_Hydrogen

I seems odd to me that NeutronInelastic would substitute cross sections
for deutrium in the place of hydrogen-1. Is this what is happening?
Has anyone else noticed this or do I need to take a better look
at my code? I'm defining hydrogen using the following code:

G4NistManager* nist = G4NistManager::Instance();
G4Element* elH = nist->FindOrBuildElement("H");
