None segmenation fault when too many secondaries generated

I am trying to simulate some radioisotopes (S35,C15,H3) and to compute the deposited energy spectrum. To do that I am accumulating the energy of each beta particle that is generated and all its secondaries. The problem comes when a beta particle generates a lot of secondaries. In that case the program uses to give two different problems. Some times it says that the File limit was exceeded and some times it gives a segmentation fault. If I kill the electrons generated by the beta particle and I only track the first beta particle there is no problem, but if I try to track all the electrons then the problems mentioned above come. Is it limited somewhere in geant4 the number of secondaries generated by a particle? the error "file limit exceeded" is strange because the file where I save the energy of each beta electron is around 900Kb when this happens and that is very small to cause that problem. Any idea? thanks
