Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. I generated 100~500MeV pi- to my detector, and I found 13% of them was absorbed in the scintillator, through the process G4PionMinusAbsorptionAtRest, and created a pi0 at rest. The scintillator consists of C and H, with about 10cm thick. However, another process G4PiMinusAbsorptionAtRest will not produce secondary particles, like pi0s.
I'm wondering which model is reasonable, and whether the cross section of PionMinusAbsorptionAtRest is right? If it is, there will be a lot of gammas from rest pi0s, with about 70MeV momentum, which can be observed in the shower counter.
I use Geant4.8.0, QGSP, while it's the same with other hadronic packages or previous versions.
