In general, a physics model (that is, final state generation) should not 
depend on the position of the interaction.   This is why there is no 
method for retrieving the position in these classes.  If your application 
has a speicific need for this, it should be implemented at the process 
level or higher where the G4Track information is available.  As you 
suggest, there probably is a better place to access this information than 
the general user routines, but to find it, I will need more information 
about your application and why you need position information.
