I'm trying to simulate a bunch of "moderate-energy" (no more than 20MeV) deuterons and protons hitting a lithium target to study the neutron generation process.
I'm using the G4HadronPhysicsQGSP_BIC_AllHP physics list combined with G4TENDL1.3.2 data (very similar to what is done in the NeutronSource extended example).
Before running, I set the following environment variables export G4PROTONHPDATA=/path-to-G4TENDL1.3.2/Proton export G4NEUTRONHPDATA=/path-to-G4TENDL1.3.2/G4NDL4.5 export G4DEUTERONHPDATA=/path-to-G4TENDL1.3.2/Deuteron
What I see is that:
* whether I set the deuteron variable or not, the results are identical * in the output there's no information at all on the G4DEUTERONHPDATA variable, while there is for G4PROTONHPDATA and G4NEUTRONHPDATA * if I don't set correctly the G4PROTONHPDATA variable, it terminates with an exception
This being said, I have 2 issues:
1) What is the problem with the G4DEUTERONDATA variable? How can I set it correctly? 2) If the deuteron data variable is not set, how are the cross-sections for incident deuterons computed?
