Question Tracking hadrons below 1kev

Forum: Hadronic Processes
Date: 21 Mar, 2018
From: Helga Holmestad <Helga Holmestad>

As default hadrones are not tracked to lower energy than 1keV. If they reach an energy below 1keV, they loose all their energy in the next step. Is there a reason for this. I see that this can be overwritten with the command /em/lowestMuHadEnergy. But I never see that this is done. Is this because the geant4 simulation is not reliable enough at such low energies. I am using the single scattering model so the step sizes are very small, therefore it looks like there is a cutoff at 1 keV in my energy distribution
