Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. ParticleHP does indeed ignore doppler broadening for deexcitation gammas. It could only account for doppler broadening of cross-sections which is not the case here anyway since you simulate much higher energies.|
Looking at 2D distributions I think there is a mixture of two cases for incident neutrons:
1 - gamma deexcitation from discrete and/or continuum levels from neutron inelastic process with Ek < 20 MeV. These gammas are generated by ParticleHP without doppler broadening.
2 - gamma deexcitation from neutron inelastic process with Ek >20 MeV. These gammas are generated by Binary Cascade.
