I've been trying to run a simulation of the beta spectrum that results from spontaneous fission of Cf252.
What I have been doing is combining exB2b with rdecay01. I have a detector, a mag field, a source, etc. but I am having some serious issues with Cf252.
1. In rdecay01, there exists a file called UserData which contains No252 and a few other files. I've added the RadioactiveDecay file z98.a252, and specifically named it, "UserRadData_z98.a252", to this file and have modified the fullChain.mac to point to this decay file with the following:
/grdm/setRadioactiveDecayFile 98 252 UserData/UserRadData_z98.a252
/gun/ion 98 252
But when the macro runs, I get the following error message:
"The file UserData/UserRadData_z98.a252 does not exist!"
Nothing happens as far as decay is concerned, but a run summary says that 4658 events have been processed. After which I aborted the simulation since nothing was happening.
What I'd like to see happen is for the Cf252 to run through all decay channels, and get the beta decay data from all channels, including spontaneous fission and the beta decays from it's fission fragments.
The unmodified macros for No252 and fullChain seem to work fine. So I really don't know what I am missing here.
Attached is the full output as well as my detector setup
