Question G4NeutronRadCapture produces incorrect secondary particles

I am trying to simulate neutron activation of Li6: n + Li6 -> H3 + alpha + Q(4.78 MeV).

If the material the neutron hits is either G4_LITHIUM_IODIDE or a user-defined material of LiI, a gamma and an I128 ion are produced with G4NeutronRadCapture.

Even stranger, if the material is simply Li6, the secondary particles are a gamma and Li8. Just for fun, I tried it with U235 and the secondaries are a gamma and U238.

I would like to know what decides which secondaries are produced, why extra neutrons come into existence for certain materials, and how to produce the correct secondary particles.

I have tried adding many other physics processes as well to see what happens; the only thing I've noticed is that when I include electrons, sometimes an electron is produced in addition to the above secondaries.
