Question Polyethylene / He3 counter with QGSP_BERT_HP physics list

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate a He3 counter within a polyethylene sphere (Bonner Sphere). I used QGSP_BERT_HP modular physics list.

    G4VModularPhysicsList* myPL = new QGSP_BERT_HP;
    runManager->SetUserInitialization(myPL);

Neutron events will be counted based on the energy deposition in He3 sphere. I simulated a 2 inch diameter He3 sphere placed inside 12 inch diameter polyethylene sphere using mono-energetic neutrons to produce the response curve of this detector. There is a discrepancy in detector counts with low energy neutrons when compared with IAEA 12 inch bonner sphere responses.

Attached is the comparison I did. Here I have normalized the curves by the count rate for 2 MeV neutrons.

I tried changing physics lists, density of polyethylene etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.
