Hello all.

I am in the process of building a program to find out how and how much energy proton/alpha/neutron particles deposit inside a silicon box along with cross section values.

My first question is how come when using Hadr03 example, I get different values for cross section per atom vs verification cross section output sometimes.

Also, I had discussion before that hadr03 example isn't realistic since it kills after first interaction. Does this mean I should build realistic version if I want my simulation to be meaningful?

Moreover, is it possible to find cross section values for each secondary particle created?

Finally, from my findings, Reaction rate = macroscopic cross section X flux. Using the below as an example I did calculations (Macroscopic Cross section = 6.02 x 10^23 x 19.3/197 x 565.82 X 10^&#8722;27 = 0.03337 cm^-1). The answer seems to be 3284 process frequency and I am not sure how to calculate the flux or if I am missing something.

It's a lot of questions and I thank you for the help!
