Hmmm.  9.2 is a pretty old version; old enough that I don't have it on my
current laptop.  I do see that in the latest (10.1) version, the parton
string model does produce charmed baryons, but I don't know if that was
implemented back then.

You can certainly have the heavy mesons as beam particles.
