I have recently switched to GEANT4.9.6p02 and simulated neutron (less than 20MeV) irradiating Si target with NeutronHP processes. However, the result showed that Generic Ion generated by the Neutron Elastic process is much less than that of GEANT4.9.5p02, which is mainly attributed to absence of Generic Ion less than 0.1MeV. Simulations with modular physics list (QGSP_BERT_HP, QGSP_BIC_HP) have been performed. However similar results were obtained. (please refer to spectra of generic ion (Si) produced by neutron elastic scattering in the attachments). I have also tried with other neutron energies and materials (like Al), yet the above problem still exist...Has anyone encountered such problem?
