Hello,

This information clear a bit the situation: you should have a significant part of pi- captures as well. In old Geant4 released by default for mu- capture neutron production was sample by pre-compound model, for pi- - by CHIPS.

In 9.6p02 by default the intra-nuclear cascade for mu- capture is done by pre-compound, for pi- - by Bertini model (G4StoppingPhysics builder), there is an alternative G4QStoppingPhysics which should work as before. In G4QStoppingPhysics there is an option to use CHIPS for all particles.
