Question difference between QGSP_BERT and SIBYLL ?

Dear hypernews members,

I study proton interaction in the hydrogen medium for the energies from 1 TeV to 1000 TeV and I am using QGSP_BERT physics list and geant 4 9.5 December 2011 version. In order to check the results, I compute gamma spectrum for the medium with grammage 1 gcm^-2 therefore there is single interaction and no cascade, then I compare with gamma spectrum obtained with SIBYLL code. For 1 TeV proton energy , up to energy 31 GeV the spectra are the same but for higher energies the spectrum from QGSP_BERT is factor of two higher.

I do not understand if I am doing some mistake or this is due to different kind of modeling in different codes ?

Thank you very much in advance. Best regards, Narek
