I'm trying to simulate a Gd loaded scintillator for neutron veto applications. I've heard various mentions about recent improvements to the way geant handles Gd neutron capture, but I can't find anything concrete about it. Currently I'm using geant4.9.4.p02 with G4NDL3.14 and the Shielding physics list. With this setup, I get the continuum gamma distribution and some low-energy electrons (haven't checked the process to see whether they're IC or Auger), but no discrete high energy gamma lines.
So my questions are:
1) Does geant4 now correctly model the Gd de-excitation, including both IC and Auger electrons as well as the high energy gamma lines?
2) What physics lists/environment variables/etc do I need to use to make sure all the proper parts get called?
