Hello,

The difference is in the factor - number of atoms per volume.

Subject: getting different cross sections

*** Discussion title: Hadronic Processes

Hi

I have tried to calculate cross section using G4HadronicProcessStore. To
calculate cross sections of proton in Al, Firstly, I consider Al as
element and use GetInelasticCrossSectionPerAtom to calculate cross
section then I consider G4_Al material and
GetInelasticCrossSectionPerVolume used to calculate cross section.

Both results are different. Can anyone explain me what is the difference
between GetInelasticCrossSectionPerAtom and
GetInelasticCrossSectionPerVolume???

thanks in advance,

Summit
