Hello, I tried to simulate the interaction of high energy ions (C12 and Fe56 @ 50 GeV/n) using Geant4.9.5 and the QGSP_FTFP_BERT physics list. Comparing to predictions from Fluka, I find quite a good agreement, so I was wondering whether this physics list has undergone some sort of validation for high energy ions. Is it "reliable" for simulating this kind of physics? The valid energy range for ion interaction model is qouted to be 100 TeV, but how much can I go up in energy before prediction starts to be non-reliable?
