The high precision elastic scattering data for Aluminum has not changed between 3.13 and 3.14, but it was in high agreement with ENDF/B-VII (which is what I compared it to, not VI) already, down to roughly .01 eV, well below your region of interest. In any case, I have never doubted that the physics implementation in Geant4 is bad, just had occasional doubts about the data, so I am not at all surprised that the code produces results commensurate with the data itself.

I'm not entirely clear on what you did for your verification, however. The energy range from about 30 keV to 10 MeV is a resonance region, so a simple lambda=sigma*n calc using an "average" lambda over the region is not guaranteed to produce accurate results. I am also unclear on what scattering you were counting in Geant4...were you looking only at scatters from the specific energies you mentioned, or counting scatters all the way from those starting energies down to 0?
