Question thermal neutron capture - show 411keV gamma

Hello all,

I am modelling muons incident on a lead shield creating neutrons which activate a Gold disk. I can see Au198 isotopes produced and can output this:

if ( particleValue == 1000791980 )
{
   G4cout << " Au198 Isotope: " << particleName << " particle encoding " << particleValue << G4endl;
}

Au198 Isotope: Au198[0.0] particle encoding 1000791980.

What I am needing now is a check to see that a 411.8 keV gamma quantum follows a capture of a thermal neutron. Would that be best to do in the Stepping action? I am worried that it could be quite an intensive search as there will be many secondaries in the reaction.

I am also using the QGSP_BIC_HP list.
