Dear sir/madam Thanks you in advance for your time and consideration. I am simulating the interaction of proton with a 40*40*40 cm^3 water Phantom. I want to score the secondary gamma produced by nuclear interaction. for this purpose I used the example Hadr01 in geant4. In this example, the secondary particles are scored in the stacking action class. When I score the whole of produced gamma's, the gamma yields per primary protons obtains about 2.16, but when I enter a condition for parent ID (if track->GetParentId()==1) the gamma yield obtains about 0.26 per primary proton. My question is that: Why is the difference of two cases is large and what gamma can be the difference of them? Is the obtained gamma yield correct or the calculation is wrong?
