Question model for alpha particle having energy more than 86 GeV

Forum: Hadronic Processes
Date: 20 Jan, 2011
From: Halil <Halil>

Hi all;

I'm studying on cosmic muon flux at sea level. I'm using the emstandard and QGSP_BIC_HP models for primary protons having energy range from 4 GeV to 460 GeV and for primary alpha particle having energy range from 10 GeV to 175 GeV.

Although I didn't encounter any problem for high energy primary protons, I faced an error for alpha particles which have energies more than 80 GeV.

Error was:
" GetHadronicInteraction: No Model found
Unrecoverable error for:
 - Particle energy[GeV] = 60.184089
 - Material = Air47
 - Particle type = He3 "

Should I use different model for alpha particles? Thanks in advance..
