Question Modification of PhotoNeutron Reaction

Forum: Hadronic Processes

Hello all,

I am interested in modifying the photo-neutron reaction to include excited states of neutron production. For example, with 11.7MeV gammas, when the program produces a neutron for the 29Si(gamma,n) reaction, right now 100% of the time it is a 3.115 MeV ground state neutron. I want to change it, so that 50% of the time it is 3.115 and 50% of the time it is 1.398MeV (1st excited state).

I was wondering first if this is very difficult to do, and if possible where would be a good place to get started?

Thank you for any advice you can give,

-Kyle Pastor
