Question Weird Secondaries from neutrons

I am simulating ~5 MeV neutrons in water. I am getting a lot of odd secondaries. Almost every neutron is basically turning into a proton (but not decaying because there is no electron and neutrino, and because I got the same results after turning decay physics off). Some of them are turning into random nuclei like Mg24. This really disturbs me because I never even defined magnesium in my detector.
