Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|

I am currently running Geant4.9.3 (previously used 4.9.0) and wrote a simple simulations to look at recoil protons and alphas from fusion neutrons (<~14-MeV) so I thought I should use the *HP physics list (currently using QGSP_BERT_HP).
I finally got everything up and running only to find out that one of the few materials, Tantalum-181 I would be using is not in the G4NDL3.13 Inelastic or Elastic folders... there is however something for Ta-181 in the JENDL_HE folder (not sure what the energy threshold is for these data files).
I have looked up some of the ENDF-6 XS files to see if there was a simple correlation between the format of the ENDF-6 files and the data files in G4NDL3.13. I did not see anything obvious.
Is there a way that I can generate a data file for Geant4 from an ENDF-6 file from NNDC, put it in the correct folder under G4NDL3.13/Inelastic or Elastic, and therefore not use the Tungsten XS for the Tantalum material?
Or is there a way to make neutronHP use the file from JENDL_HE if in the proper energy range?
Thanks in advance!! Mario
