I compare the HPFissionModel and the ParaFissionModel on U235, using the fission process with the HPFissionData.
I might be wrong, but here what I've found.
The HPFissionModel produces an average of 2.5 neutron/fission as expected. The ParaFissionModel produces only about 2.35 neutron/fission which is low. I use the exact same application find these results.
Since the ParaFission produces fission products, the delayed neutrons are not emitted by the fission process. So the average should be 2.48=2.5(1-0.7%), but it is more like 2.32 = 2.5 (1-7%). I would say there may be a mistake somewhere in the ParaFissionModel, where the delayed neutron fraction is set at 7% and should be 0.7%.
If I should have done the things in a different way, please let me know.
