Hi Michel,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I will definitely go through the TestEm3 in detail. Probably my limited knowledge in C++ gives rise to all sorts of problem. I really find it difficult that how that different programs communicating with each other. Keeping this in mind please consider my bad(!) questions. According to the soln given in FAQ and in your attachment, I have inserted a line in EXN02SteppingVerbose.cc. It is

      G4StepPoint* pStepPoint = fStep->GetPreStepPoint();
      G4TouchableHandle theTouchable = pStepPoint->GetTouchableHandle();
      G4int copyNo = theTouchable->GetCopyNumber();
      G4cout << std::setw(4) << theTouchable->GetCopyNumber();

I have also tried with

<< std::setw(4) << fStep->GetPreStepPoint()->GetTouchableHandle()->GetCopyNumber() <<

both this statement were within the if condition

  if( verboseLevel >= 1 ){ .......
                           .......
                           .......
                         }

But I am getting zero ("0") where as the other outputs are okey. It gives the vol, process, energy, position every thing else. If possible please explain.

Thanking you again.

Pradip
