I contacted Fastrad again to see if there was another format (other than STEP) that we could use as a means to maintain our material lists when importing to Fastrad. Here's their response:

At this point I think we'll just settle with reassigning all our materials. If I come up with a viable solution I'll be sure to let everyone know.
