Question Problem with subtraction of two polycones

Keywords: subtraction polycone
Forum: Geometry

From: Jerome Roccaz <jerome.roccaz@cea.fr>

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to model a tank shaped like a bottle of wine. As this tank have a width and is filled with another matter than its width, I try to construct the geometry by subtracting two polycones. the width is 5mm so the size of the polycone to subtract is 5 mm smaller in all its dimensions compare to the other polycone.

When I draw both polycone, it seems ok : the polycone to subtract is smaller and does not cross the bigger one. But when I do the subtraction, while typing : /vis/drawVolume I have this message

BooleanProcessor::execute : unknown faces!! BooleanProcessor:boolean operation failed.

And it draws only one of the two polycones. Where could be the error?

thanks
