if you place a box within a hollow cylinder, the mother volume of the box is the
same mother volume applied to the cylinder. In this case, the snippet of code
you show is wrong, it should be instead:

  new G4PVPlacement(0,                 // no rotation
		    positionCore,      // at (x,y,z)
		    logicCore,         // its logical volume 
		    "CoreHIND",        // its name  
		    physiWorld,    // its mother  volume
		    false,             // no boolean operations
		    0);                // copy number
