Thank you very much for the answer.

A workaround for now seems to be importing the geometry from a CAD file, but STEP support seems to be discontinued.

Before proceeding with this, I would like to know, whether it makes sense for optical simulations at all, because non CSG solids are imported as tessellated solids. Can the tessellation be made fine enough for optical reflexion purposes. i.e., mirror profiles?
