Question Parameterisation vs. many Boxes

Keywords: Parameterisation
Forum: Geometry
Date: 26 Jan, 2008
From: Lucas Clemente <Lucas Clemente>

Hello,

at the moment I am develloping an interface to read medical DICOM-Images to Geant4. These images are typically sized about 170x170x20 voxels.

After reading the image and optimizing its size, it is stored within a G4VPVParameterisation. Is this parameterized volume more memory-efficient than many little G4Boxes? What would be the best way to store such an image?

Greetings, Lucas
