Dear Mario,

It is a little hard to understand what you are observing. However from your recent posting I think that the simulation is being carried out ok, but you are not asking the correct 'questions' to observe it.

Why don't you try printing a few tracks using '/tracking/verbose 1' to see whether the volumes of the mesh appear. I expect they will.

If you make only the parent volume sensitive, and not the containing mesh volumes, then all the hits you will record are for point in the parent (whole) volume. This will mean that all points will have their Pre-Step point in this 'whole' volume. Some likely will have their Post-Step point on the surface of one of the mesh volumes, but how many will depend on the thickness of the mesh volumes.

Another way to see whether the mesh volumes are seen could be to add a new simple volume right in front of the mesh. Checking in a user action whether the step exiting from this volume enters the 'whole' volume or another should enable you to detect steps that arrive on the mesh.

Best regards, John Apostolakis
