I am trying to construct a Toroidal shaped mirror using G4Torus. The problem is that the "Tube Radius" is bigger than the Swept radius. This is not a problem physically because I intend to only use a small portion of the outside of it where it is quite close to a spherical mirror. The problem is that I get the
ERROR - G4Torus()::SetAllParameters(): Toroidal Mirror geometry Invalid swept radius ! pRtor = 258, pRmax = 861
Would it be OK for me to edit the geant code for G4Torus and to remove this check that is causing me problems, given that I am going to remove most of the toroidal geometry through an intersection with another volume?
Is this going to cause any unforeseen problems even if this is the only instance of G4Torus?
Thank you in advance -Whitney
