Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|
|2||3||2||3 levels / 2 levels|
|3||3||All||3 levels / all levels (all postings)|
Thank you for the information. I think I was a little careless with terminology here:
>> I presume that 'Replica' in these statements refers to the logical volume that will be >> replicated inside the mother logical volume? If so, then am I correct in thinking that the >> logical volume which will be replicated inside the mother
>I have the impression you may have 'confused' concepts of what is a 'logical' volume and >a 'physical' volume. I would suggest you to look at the documentation where such concepts, >I think, are well defined.
What I meant was that G4PVReplica is constructed through
G4PVReplica(const G4String& pName, G4LogicalVolume* pCurrentLogical, G4LogicalVolume* pMotherLogical, ...)
so the logical volume 'pCurrentLogical' is what is placed(positioned) as the (single) physical volume representing the N replicas inside the 'pMotherLogical' logical volume. As it says in the manual, the position/rotation of the 'active' replica is determined during tracking from the number of replicas, replica width and axis of replication.
Therefore, I thought that the statement about 'placements inside replicas' refered to physical volumes positioned inside 'pCurrentLogical' - i.e. the daughter physical volumes of a LV positioned as a G4PVReplica. Assuming that's the case, it was restrictions on how these daughter physical volumes of 'pCurrentLogical' may be placed that I was a little unsure about, i.e
1) 'pCurrentLogical' could be the mother for a daughter G4PVReplica?
2) 'pCurrentLogical' could be the mother for daughter G4PVPlacements (think that's obvious from your reply!).
3) 'pCurrentLogical' could be the mother for a daughter G4PVParameterised?
Apologies for the confusion...
