Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|
|2||3||2||3 levels / 2 levels|

Hi Ben, > "Replicas may be placed inside other replicas... . Normal placement volumes may be placed > inside replicas, ... Parameterised volumes may not be placed inside." > > I presume that 'Replica' in these statements refers to the logical volume that will be > replicated inside the mother logical volume? If so, then am I correct in thinking that the > logical volume which will be replicated inside the mother I have the impression you may have 'confused' concepts of what is a 'logical' volume and a 'physical' volume. I would suggest you to look at the documentation where such concepts, I think, are well defined. Replicas are physical volumes which are -slicing- in equal parts (with no gaps) a given mother volume; this mother volume cannot contain anything else. > 1) Can be a logical volume containing daughter repeated physical volumes placed with > G4PVReplica? You can have placed volumes inside a replica, and, as such, be replicated. > 2) Can be a logical volume containing daughter physical volume(s) placed with > G4PVPlacement? Of course, it can. > 3) Can not be a logical volume containing daughter repeated physical volumes placed with > G4PVParameterised? Don't know what you mean exactly by "daughter repeated physical volumes", but parameterised volumes can have placed volumes inside. > In case 2, if the logical volume to be replicated by G4PVReplica is, say 'A', which contains > a daughter physical volume 'B' that was placed by G4PVPlacement, are there further > restrictions on B? i.e. can the logical volume of B contain daughter physical volumes > placed with G4PVParameterised? If I understood correctly ... in principle you can, but you must know what you're doing in your parameterisation at least ... Cheers, Gabriele
