Question Accessing Parent Touchable in G4VNestedParameterisation

Keywords: Nested parameterisations, voxels, touchables

Hello all. I am currently trying to rewrite a voxel implementation using nested parameterisation with v.4.8.0.p01. I have 2 replicas sequentially (z and y axis) nested and a 3rd parameterisation for the last axis (x) whose mother is the y axis. The visuals look fine, and I can see the correct heirarchy with ASCII trees. The thing is, when I try to access the G4VTouchable *parentTouch that is passed, it is NULL more than 90% of the time and I cannot get any information about the ancestors. The pointers that are not NULL give me the copyNo's, but not near enough. In a 5^3 voxel array, I only get 7 pointers that are valid and can give me copy numbers. Any ideas? I am accessing the copy numbers by:

if(parentTouch == 0) return defaultMaterial;

zAxis = parentTouch->GetCopyNumber(1);

yAxis = parentTouch->GetCopyNumber(0);

Thanks!

Jonathan
