We tried geant4-08-00, but the result of a test program is the same. We made copies of some Geant classes which are used in geometry test, added some debug messages and used them in test program. Here are the sources of test program: http://wwwsnd.inp.nsk.su/~shtol/for_geant/SimSphereTest.tar.gz

The output is here:

Now test point (81.6112,-27.7718,196.414) in solid mainSp
GeomTest Error: SolidProblem
DistanceToOut(p,v) brings trajectory well outside solid
    Solid name = mainSp
    Local position = 8.16112 -2.77718 19.6414 cm
Now test point (16.2898,-101.276,-188.383) in solid mainSp
Now test point (-40.7819,-165.497,-524.583) in solid mainSp
