Question parameterised volume with GEANT471

Keywords: parameterisation
Forum: Geometry
Date: 29 Aug, 2005
From: Christophe Inguimbert <Christophe.Inguimbert@onecert.fr>

I try to define a multilayered structure
with layers with different thicknesses and materials

I have declared in my world volume :

a Mother logical volume shellEdge to put a parameteristation
	inside it.
There is also in the world volume, another box behind the
	volume containing the parameterisation.

I have no error during compilation, no warnings and I have checked the
final geometry with the dawn toolkit. But when I start a run it works
very bad.

When the beam started inside the world volume no volumes are detected in
spite of the world.
When the beam started inside the shellEdge volume (logical mother for
the parameterisation), the particles are stopped inside it and do not
enter in the box behind parameterisation nor in the world volume.

I think I have followed all recomendations : A single parameterisation
in a mother volume and no other volume inside it.

I use also a messenger to catch papmeters for the parameterisad volumes
I have followed example N07. When there is a change in
my geometry I delete daughter volumes and then all the volumes,
begining with the physical volume.

I don't know where I have made a mistake
would anybody give me some sugestions ?

thank you in advance.

Christophe

PS :I use GEANT471
